That Hilton creep ruined the innocence of hiking the AT for a lot of folks. When he killed Meredith Emerson, hikers put up a makeshift memorial at the spot where he captured her. I added a rock in her memory.
Hardly anyone I knew carried a gun until that bastard committed that awful crime. I hope Florida gives Meredith and his other victims justice soon.
