Oh you thought it was finished?

NO FRICKING WAY

*REGGAE SIRENS*
quote:

- For those wondering, sophomore cornerback Nick Harvey has had a tremendous attitude and work ethic. Considering the fact he pondered a post-spring transfer, Kevin Sumlin, John Chavis and Terry Joseph must be particularly happy to see. Justin Evans is out there doing Justin Evans things and by that, I mean making plays and looking like an absolute beast on the practice fields. Both Donovan Wilson (he's back after missing the spring and is taking part in all workouts) and Brandon Williams are coming in at 205 pounds. That Williams bit is old news but, personally, I wasn't expecting to hear that the sophomore safety from Shreveport had made such significant gains, physically. There are a lot of folks in the program who believe Wilson could be a breakout player on the Aggie defense in '15. B-Will is making the adjustment to corner and has no intentions of 'easing into the position.' Word I'm hearing is that he insists on lining up against and going mano-y-mano with Speedy Noil every chance he gets. The thinking is, "If I can run with and stick to Speedy, I can cover anyone." As expected, Williams is far from where he's going to need to be when September rolls around but he's flashing the potential to make the move a very beneficial one for both himself and the team.

One player that I continue to hear teammates mention as a rapidly-improving player is sophomore nickel Noel Ellis. He's reportedly coming in at around 190 pounds these days and has gotten quite comfortable in the specialized role...At 6-4 and over 205 pounds, true freshman safety Justin Dunning has already flashed pretty ridiculous range on the back end of the defense during 7-v-7 work. He's incredibly raw but equally as talented. It should be very interesting to see if hecan stick at safety or if he'll ultimately grow out of the position. Regardless, he looks like a future playmaker for the Aggie D and a potential special teams standout in year one if Sumlin and Chavis choose to burn his redshirt.

- Finally, a few personnel notes: J.J. Gustafson has been cleared to participate and is going through the summer off-season. Great news for the oft-injured but talented redshirt freshman lineman. The Ags lost a pair of defenders to injury, as Brett Wade and Jonathan Wiggins are no longer with the team. The Wiggins news has been out there for a while but the Wade decision came down post-spring. Redshirt freshman Zack Ledwik left the team during the spring only to return a few days later but word I'm hearing is that the second-year offensive lineman has once again decided to hang up the cleats.
