Most nicer restaurants these days have decent bartenders that create their own specialty drinks, so I'll usually order one of those that uses bourbon.
If not, just a bourbon on the rocks or some nice wine.

I usually order a bourbon (if they have something I like) or wine to go with my meal.
Sometimes I'll look over the cocktail menu to see if something seasonal or specialty catches my eye.
I went to Azur here in Lexington some time back and got their seasonal grapefruit/Tito's vodka drink that wasn't called a Greyhound but was still pretty good.
