It would be great for the state for Troy, UAB, and USA to play Auburn/Alabama at some point

Yes, would be good for them. Does nothing for us. Keeping the money in state is a tired argument. When UAB plays Florida that money they get works just as good in Alabama as it does in Florida. If you look around the country you will see there are other teams that don't support the one's who cant carry their weight. LSU-Tulane used to play every year. Why don't they play now. Tulane is much bigger name with much more history than UAB. Would be great for the state of LA, blah blah. I'll bet the answer falls somewhere along the lines of what I said about having nothing to gain.

It would without a doubt make the payday games more interesting for Alabama and Auburn as well. People didn't exactly get up last year to see you beat a broken Southern Miss team and FAU at home. I would know, I went to one of those games.

Because they want us to play in New Orleans. LSU often plays an in-state team, but they will only be in Tiger Stadium. No one is saying Bama should play at UAB, Troy or something. Both programs should leave that to crappy programs like MSU.
