I could agree with that for the most part. Tuberville didn't want to make a lot of changes and kept a core crew (Duck Hunting and BBQ Crew) around until they got their tenure so they could get AL retirement benefits. He brought in Franklin set up to fail, but wouldn't change the other failures.

Saban exposed him but Tuberville was not doing the Auburn football program any favors. Did he have a gripe over jetgate (Petrino)? Yes, but he could have quit and went on his way, but he chose to stay and owed the school and fans the best product. If he would have got rid of his buddies he might even still be the AU coach (Doubt it because this is where Saban comes in)???

Saban changed the recruiting game in Alabama. Tubs going after 2 and 3 stars and coaching them up was going to hurt him eventually.
