That 85 Auburn team had some great players on it. Bo Jackson, Tracy Rocker, Aundray Bruce, Kevin Porter, Benji Roland etc.
I remember the loss to Tennessee. I think that was a game played in the rain and Auburn looked like shite from the get go. Very very frustrating loss I still recall.

Yeah, that 85 AU team was frustrating. The D was there, the offense had real talent all over the field.
The problem was the offense had no identity. We had just switched from the wishbone to the I, pat dye and jack crowe constantly bumped heads, and we tried rotating qbs every other series early in the year. Our offense was so confused. Dye fired Crowe at the end of the year as well.
