Television/ABC had come to Knoxville for Bo and SI was there to put him on the cover. Instead, the Tennessee defense stopped Bo and QB Tony Robinson became a Heisman contender. Robinson was one of the greatest to ever play QB at UT but he blew out his knee in the Bama game which started him on a path to self-destruction.

But that day, Robinson not Bo was the star of the show and Sports Illustrated abandoned their prior plans and put Tony on the cover instead:

October 7, 1985, edition of Sports Illustrated under the caption, "The Tennessee Waltz: Tony Robinson Buries Auburn."

Yep, there is the cover. I believe the article inside read "The Tennessee Air Show".

AU fans remember that SI issue that are old enough. Dye of course got a hold of it and made sure all the players read it right before ole miss. SI really ripped AU and especially Bo bad.
