This is false. Texas put the Longhorn silhouette on the side of the helmet in 1961 in the season opener at Cal-Berkeley.

I just always thought the term "the twelfth man" was another cliche. I was surprised when I found out that the Aggies tried to claim it as their own.

We called our yearbook the longhorn before you frickers changed your nickname from "the varsity' to the longhorns. We did Gig'em long before your hook'em bullshite. I could keep going, but frick you.

So Arkansas was third.

1. Texas
2. Denver Broncos
