Being convicted of attempting to circumvent these rules should land you in prison for 20 years-no parole. Voting is the most important thing we as Americans have.

What I find ironic about proposals like this is that the US already has pretty low voter participation. The people you want to exclude are also already the least likely to vote. Basically, your proposal is pretty much pointless and would only serve to increase the size of government (which would have to police this). But you're all for "small government", right?

Not really smaller government, but when people who do not put anything into the system can vote themselves more and more, I find that disturbing.

I also believe in helping my fellow man, but that help should not be a way of life. I think a total of 5 years of government assistance over an entire lifetime is more than sufficient. I do not include Social Security in this because it is something that you worked and paid into. I can envision a time where someone graduates high school but is unable to find work and they are not interested in college. I am ok with helping them for a while until they can find a job. Then after working for 10 or so years they get laid off, I am ok with helping them again, until they can find another job.

There are people who are 40-50 years old and have NEVER had a job. That is ridiculous. It is because they are lazy. I could leave home tomorrow morning and find a job within 1 week and only admit to having a high school education. I have a college degree, but I am saying you don't need one to get a job. It might be an entry level job, but it is a job and I can work hard and get advancement. I went to high school with someone who started working at a local grocery store chain at 18. He showed up for work dressed properly, on time, and did his job. He started as a bag boy, then a stocker, then working in the meat department and now is the daytime store manager.

This is America and anyone can succeed they just need to work hard and keep trying. Everyone falls down, but you have to get back up and get back to it.
