The reality is that HF is a good coach who is coaching at a traditional doormat of the SEC West. He has been impressive in turning Ole Miss into a team that can be talked about in the SEC W title picture. It's possible, but unlikely that he will win any hardware there simply because he is coaching in an era in which the west has become the strongest division year-in and year-out in college football history.

I think he has a really legit shot at winning the West once Saban is gone - and an even better shot at sneaking into a "BCS" (major) bowl game (like State last year) and winning. So, from an OM perspective, that is pretty significant. The 2016 recruiting class they have coming will be better than the Nkimdeche class from 2013. They have borderline overwhelming talent at some positions right now.

I think it is important, when having this discussion, to recognize that "significant" for OM is quite different than significant at Alabama or Auburn.

I will also say this - I think that Freeze, because of the religious stance he has taken and in view of what is going on behind the scenes, is the current SEC coach most likely to have a 30 for 30 made about him in the next 10 years. That too is significant.
