Roach will have him ready. I'm pulling for Manny, but I'm not optimistic.

I want Manny to win. I hate Floyd. He has dodged every legitimate threat to his standing...and has delayed this fight to a time past their primes.

Floyd is a terrible example for americans. A domestic abuser. Promotes fiscal irresponsibility. Won't/Can't read a Dr. Seuss book for charity.

I don't like Floyd as much as anyone but to say he's dodged everyone isn't entirely accurate. The only fighter he's really avoided was Manny. Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Marquez, Castillo, and many others.

Manny is the only one he's really avoided.

Go Pacquiao. This match should have happened long before now, when they're both over the hill, though. Would have been far more interesting a few years ago.

I agree, but this would be much more true if they were heavyweights. These two are still going to put on a great show and beat the shite out of each other regardless.

I guess I'm just glad it's finally happening.

Boxing in general hasn't been exciting since UFC/MMA got off the ground.

Tyson was definitely a boss. Loved watching all his fights, win or lose. Probably my favorite boxer of all time even though he's not the best of all time. Heavyweight boxing took a nosedive since he's been out.

Boxing, wrestling, and any kind of sport fighting is dumb.

Then why will it be one of the largest grossing events in sports history? Name another event where both participants earned over $100 MILLION each for 36 minutes of work. Name another event where a single ticket sold for over $41,000.

The "boxing is dead" crowd is such a laugh. As prominent as it once was? No, I'll grant you that but to say it's dead with the numbers being put up for this fight is just flat laughable.

I'm baffled by the numbers being thrown out there because I don't know anyone that is planning on paying to see the fight.

This is the only fight that even matters for boxing these days. Most people can't name another fight they'd like to see.

It's the only boxing event I will watch, and afterwards when there's some stupid controversy, or their champions get to duck fights for years, I'll go back to the UFC where you can't say no.

Pacquiao is a better fighter, Mayweather is better at winning boxing matches. Money will win any match that ends in a decision. Pacman will have to knock him out to win it and knocking out the best defensive boxer in history won't be easy.

This is kinda how I feel about it. If this fight happens five years ago, Manny would have pummeled him. In his prime Manny had faster punch seed than any boxer Mayweather has ever faced. Mayweather knows that if he faced someone who could land blows faster than he could defend, he'd have to win a straight up fist fight and nobody was beating Manny in his prime in a brawl.

This works against fighters who can't recover and throw another punch before you move your defenses. In his prime, Manny had amazing speed and could throw body blows while you were still protecting your head. In 2015, I'm not sure he has that same speed.

Manny still has the ability to knock you out with one punch though, he's the type of brawler Floyd has tried to actively avoid his whole career. Mayweather just doesn't get hit every much and knows its pretty much impossible to beat him unless you can KO him with one of the 3-4 opportunities you get. Manny can do that.
