SEC Recruitniks

I'm sure many, if not all, of you have seen that the B1G is doing tons of these satellite camps now to try and sway a couple of fish to swim north to play football.

My solution is to allow kids to go on official visits during their junior year, and maybe up the # from 5 to 10 or so. This way, if a kid is interested in checking out USCw, or Stanford, or Ohio State, or a kid from Jersey wants to check out the SEC/ACC they have many more opportunities, and can do it from an earlier time period. Recruiting is done so early now, with kids developing relationships during their junior year much more often now, that I think this could help alleviate some of the issues coming up now, and effectively get rid of these satellite camps as well.

Agree/Disagree?

Updated OP: Commissioner of the B1G Jim Delany took a not so subtle shot at the SEC in regards to oversigning, greyshirting and other recruiting manners when he spoke about satellite camps:

I think a good power play by Delany. Obviously the camps are not "completely equal" so he is trying to get the NCAA to change the entire recruiting process

Officials should definitely be allowed earlier. I don't think 10 is the number, but maybe 7.

If you allow for earlier officials, it naturally follows that there should be an early signing period.

The early signing period is not going to end all of the foolishness, but it allows kids to opt out of the foolishness early if they want to. And takes a little of the stress off the assistant coaches that are seemingly just being run into the ground by this whole process.

If the SEC could do this, the NCAA would have shut it down with the quickness. Guaranteed.
