I have a good feeling about getting the guard this weekend. So where does that leave us counting the washington kid?

We have three current slots by my reckoning.

So,
1) harris
2) knox
3) pocket?

Cuonzo is not going to pocket any scholarships

Its not uncommon for coaches who can recruit who get a late start to pocket it

We need bodies. Esp bigs. If he pockets it, we're not gonna be happy about it.

I actually wont be all too upset. we would have:
2 pg
3 sg
3 sf (2 could play pf)
1 pf
2 centers
I was happy about our centers in their limited roles last year, more so then is seems most mizzou fans were ha.

Smith isn't a C
Smith will never be a C

Mizzou made the elite 8 with Lyons & Carroll as the front court players.
Smith's most extensive playing time came against Arizona, he looked pretty good that game. Arizona is also 1 of the bigger teams in college hoops.

He's one guy. Even stipulating he can play C for the whole year (he can't), that's one player at C. At most, he and Nikko are spell guys at C. 10-15 mins total at most.
Yes. One elite HS recruit and a guy who's still in the league a decade later. Smith and Nikko ain't that. Come on man. You're smarter than that.

Actually someone with as much athleticism as smith helps a player who is 6'10 playing the wing much better than a center who clogs the lane

I doubt their the only centers on the roster next year. If Mizzou has Knox, MPJ, & Barnett getting the majority of the minutes then Smith, Puryear and Nikko will be passable as the 5.
Smith probably compares to Bowers in that if he gets his weight/strength up he can be a very good college player.

Yup. That's why the NBA teams have a bunch of 6'10" 200 pound centers.
