Where does that article say anything about the police turning a blind eye to any crimes by Auburn football players? I didn't read any such reports.

Well, if police officers are paid to provide special attention to football players to keep them out of trouble, it raises the question of conflict of interest, does it not?

I wonder how it would be perceived if a citizen paid local law enforcement to make sure his errant son stayed out of trouble.

When a city enacts a curfew as several have done over the years, who do you think would enforce it? I believe it is usually the local police unless the job is so big they have to call in the national guard. Maybe your dumbass can explain how the police simply enforcing a curfew equals a conflict of interest
