It would play a factor. I am a southern boy. I wouldn't move to Minnesota for double my salary. That being said......the established mid-major coaches are already multi-millionaires. These guys are on the fast track to getting an elite job.

ETA If you go to bama and don't succeed, you have to start at the bottom of the ladder and try to work your way back up. That is a factor I have not seen you mention one time.

I can almost guarantee that this played no factor in Marshall's decision. He didn't even consider that he might fail at Bama.
