The talent level at CB is my biggest concern with his scheme. We need to get deeper at CB for me to feel really confident about where our defense is headed

Overall I think we expect some improvement just based on the scheme. Everything that has been said about Snyder was that assignments were so complicated and nuanced that players were thinking far too much instead of just reacting. It was obvious to a lot of us because all 11 heads seemed like they were turned looking at the sideline pre snap on every play.

You don't have to worry about this with Chavis. His scheme is very basic. All his scheme requires to be successful is the players executing. The Mike and the DEs are the only ones that have to make a lot of reads. The question now is how long will it take aTm to get the talent Chavis needs to field a good D.

What will be interesting is how will Myles Garrett do in Chavis' system. His scheme isn't known to produce a ton of sacks and he's a bit of a pass rush specialist isn't he? He's going to have to develop into a complete DE to be successful.
