It is at least a small victory that we've gotten to this point with a candidate most considered to be impossible to pull and likely wouldn't even consider the job.

At this point, if he doesn't sign, I'd say it's a wash. The idiots who claimed that Marshall is a "pipe dream" will tell us he never seriously considered coming. It is clear now that we are a serious consideration, but being a serious consideration of a mid major coach, even one as successful as Marshall, is hardly a victory if he turns us down.

As much as I love the thought of Forde egg on his face, I don't see how you can blame anybody for thinking he looks somewhere like Texas or waits for Indiana to open first.
