I just realized I had Scalia on the brain, but meant Alito. Scalia was a Reagan appointee.
As for the worst, it really depends on one's ideology. To wit, I'm not crazy about the extreme left ones either, but they often align more with my ideology than Thomas and Alito do. I have no problem admitting that. Being that Ginsburg is the most likely next justice to leave the bench, I'd prefer to see her replaced with a left leaning judge, though certainly not as left as she is. Someone to complement Kennedy as a perceived swing vote.

I don't mind RBG being strongly in the liberal bloc. There needs to be liberal and conservative voices on the court as well as moderates. The court needs a Scalia and a RBG to challenge ideas from different perspectives.
I just don't want the court stacked too far to one ideology or another.
