Then don't assert that the Ford Foundation is "serious" if you do not know that to be true. That's an assumption, just like your assumption that all of the State players in that picture died in WWII.

Question, do you not think that the president of a foundation that controls the money telling a media outlet that "his foundation would not move forward without Jones at the helm of the university because the decision to fire him seemed to be motivated by issues other than Jones' job performance." is serious?

I think anyone with half a brain could read the article and come away with "they are serious" or it wouldn't have made news. Whether they go through with it may or may not happen but it sounds serious enough. If you step outside the box from defending your team and try to look at it with a nonbiased view you would come away with the same perception.
