The girl's what? 13? That's five years to systematically recondition her. If on her 18th birthday she doesn't qualify then so be it. She's sterilized and put to work in the salt mines or something. If she qualifies she's shipped to Pendleton.
What, in a nutshell, makes The United States Marine Corps one of the most esteemed outfits in the world? Their having long since mastered the art of turning normal people into highly effective and efficient homocidal machines. To some degree a propensity to violence is an advantage. Obviously one doesn't want to send a troup of girl scouts off to war.
Five years' preparatory reconditioning in Nebraska followed by boot camp at Pendleton. She'll do just fine.

We should fight all wars in Nebraska anyway. Would at least give that state a purpose.
