This is an SEC board so it's really not about them. Besides, we pay the price when they do something dumb. Yes there are dumbass northern pols but the region does not take the heat we do.

For frick's sake, Stacy Campfield is from New York and said AIDs came from people having sex with monkeys (no racist code there as he meant literal apes/monkeys), among many other low lights. He was FINALLY taken out this year but do you think ANYONE cared he was from, New York state? frick no. Most people in the state didn't even know.

He was a TN state rep and later tn state senator and that is all that mattered. He's not alone either. Where you rep or claim as home is where you're now from even when it's damaging or embarrassing.

And trust me EVERYONE both republicans and democrats was embarrassed by Stacy Campfield. All that isn't fair but it is modern politics, especially when it comes to embarrassments.
