On a non-troll side note, I don't know if the A&M brass is going to have the patience for another 2-3 years to allow Chavis to build the defense. He's going to need to get the personnel to run his system. If A&M goes .500 the next two seasons, does CKS get the ax?

Excellent question. Mr. Chavis himself seems to think the talent is at A&M to win now. We'll see, I guess.

On a related note, do you feel like Kevin Steele is going to need a couple of years to get players that fit the system he ran at Clemson, or will he be able to produce Clemson-level results immediately?

Chavis will not solve the problems at A&M. He might mask a few but he can't solve them.

What else would he say? "Man these guys completely suck arse and we'll be lucky to beat Rice!"
But go ahead and bet the bank on him. He will not be your savior

I think with LSU's current defensive talent, which doesn't require as much scheming, he'll play to the strengths currently on the team, while recruiting the players needed to put his "twist" on what we already run.

Like you know a single diddly frick on what John Chavis is thinking. But we will see you are right there.
