I am weary of the government taking control of anything but I most certainly like the idea of what is happening.
Also, something people seem to be forgetting is that this will also keep ISPs from charging a la cart. With more and more people leaving cable and satellite this is a very good thing IMO.

I'm with the general proposal in spirit, but I want to know the gritty details.
One thing this doesn't address is future investment in infrastructure (aka fiber). I doubt it's cheap to lay down that much new cable and ROI likely takes awhile, but that's a project that serves the public good.
The how to reach that goal is the problem.
