Right. Those are people that are known (and awesome), but probably not what Arkansas is known for. Kentucky is basketball, bourbon, bluegrass, and to some extent tobacco. I was just asking what Arkansas was known for, off the top of a non-native's head.

I can see that you (a) don't understand, and (b) have a great deal of state pride. The latter is admirable.

It was a (good natured) joke that while Kentucky may be known for only 3-4 things, Arkansas is best known just for Wal-Mart. It ruins a joke to have to explain it, but here we are.

But then I got into a much better conversation with your hog brethren, and I'd like to go back to talking southern literature.

Plus I agree with the last statement. Although I love what Walmart has brought into the state. Let me ask you this, would KY turn away a multibillion corporation with all that it entails for the economy, all of the supplier hubs relocated as well, the ensuing crystal bridges, Walton arts centers, etc.... NAH!

Rock on man. Lets both get back to the finer things in the thread!
