I know that at one time Auburn was like top 10 in money generating athletics at (750k) or so. There are only a few programs that even break even or make a little money. It is impressive that Alabama is generating that kind of income from it.

Does this factor in construction costs of renovations though? I think I read that Auburn factored in the new Arena to part of theirs and it took a dump to about negative 15 million or something.

Schools don't have to report debt or debt service. UF does, as do others. Historically Alabama does not report. If that is included it will drop from $33 million to somewhere around $16-17 million. Still a large surplus however.

Alabama has recent additions to BDS, facilities for non-revenue sports, and Sewell-Thomas Stadium is undergoing a $42 million dollar facelift, that are all on the books. Bill Battle mentioned theses in his recent "Battle Plan".
