The other thing about the new balls is it is probably changing things up for pitchers. I assume it should help hard throwing power pitchers more than anything. Dudes with exaggerated curve balls might be screwed though.

yeah, it definitely makes the college game more interesting
I'm pretty impressed with PSU's sunday starter. He's a freshman and he's got a ways to go but he's got a nice curve and change. Subpar fastball but it's really location killing him on it. Making quite a few of our hitters look bad and yet still getting beat around because he eventually grooves one. If he develops consistency, he could be really good, especially in the B1G
That said, he's a human-delay for rain. I swear with all the pitches he's thrown and his incredibly slow pace that PSU was hoping they could get a midgame lead and let the rain come.
