It's interesting that of the pre-1992 SEC members, only UT, Vandy, and UGA have played UK more than Bama has.

Alabama and Kentucky had some wars in the 1970's and 1980's. Kentucky was 23-13 from 1975-1990 against Alabama (Alabama was ranked in 12 of the 36), which in basketball is about as close as anyone gets.
Played in the 1982 SECTCG, 1986 SECTCG, 1986 Sweet 16, 1992 SECTCG.
