This. Release from what is essentially their contract to the school (and vice versa). Let them reopen their recruitment. However, once they step on campus, the current transfer process would have to play out under the NCAA's current manifestation.

This - ONLY if it's the Head Coach that leaves though.

Position coaches, assistants, coordinators come and go all the damn time - a kid and his parents should know that when they agree to sign with a school.
