Does this give alabama fans solace for what Dye did to their Jesus?

LOL....he got a win against old and dying Bryant during Bear's last year.....so give it a rest homer.

Dye was an outstanding football coach of the old school Bryant mold. He never won a title, but had he coached Auburn during the playoff-BCS era it might have turned out differently. Auburn was the best team in the SEC during the 80's. Dye is a hero to the Toomerites though because Bryant beat them like a drum for a quater century and after he retired, Dye leveled the playing field between the two programs. I believe he was basccially .500 against Bama and got that off his record against Bill Curry....which is good enough at AU.

Dye was a great coach, Bryant was a legendary coach. Can you imagine if TMZ had been around while those two were coaching?

I still love listening to Coach Dye on the radio, I laugh out loud every time I think about the comments he made about Charlie Weis. . .
