The teams that win have them though. You have Chandler in Dallas, Horford in Atlanta, Gasol in Memphis, Dwight in Houston. The only team that doesn't really have that big dominant presence inside that wins consistently off the top of my head is San Antonio and that's because Duncan is just magic.
