I'll preface this by saying the media is being ridiculous about this story.

They aren't wrong. Anyone who's had a job knows the stupid rules, processes, and regulations that come with it. It's stupid that he has to talk to the media, but he's being a petulant child about it. Part of being a professional is sucking it up and doing what's necessary, even if it's pointless.
