Well, gravitational waves haven't been confirmed yet. I know most of the theories point to gravity being a force akin to electromagnetism, the weak and strong forces but we found the carriers of the latter three and that confirmed them.

That we can't detect gravitons makes me suspect gravity is an effect of space-time rather than being a force. Some popular physicists such as Neil deGrasse Tyson and Michio Kaku also think gravity is an effect of space "pushing" particles together rather than "pulling" them. Dark Energy could well be anti-gravity since it pushes matter apart.
