I feel like this is a story every year with some team or another. It never seems to matter.

It happens, but Jones definitely didn't handle it well. The player visited UT and then three days later, close to signing day, he got a phone call from the position coach telling him the offer was pulled. Apparently that was his first indication to look elsewhere. That will be noted in HS coaching circles and Butch Jones can't afford many more gaffes like this.
