Mizzou has not been as advertised.

When Mizzou was let into the SEC the general thought was that Mizzou would be a bottom half team in football but a top 3 or 4 team in basketball. So far at least that has been off the mark on both counts. Football has exceeded most people expectations, and this year's basketball team may be one of Mizzou's worst teams in the last forty years (or maybe ever...I am not well versed on Mizzou BB before the 70s)
