Some quotes from our bros at ED

quote:

I urge all of you that attend the largest church in Mississippi to consider leaving - anc

quote:

For me it's not the fact that a non-pastor has no place in the pulpit, it's that I'm not convinced half of his act isn't a farce. He's the head coach with the reputation of "recruiter" in one of the dirtiest businesses out there. You can't tell me he and his staff aren't actively searching for ways to break rules everyday and sometimes flat break them anyway. His job is routinely to lie to recruits faces ("you are the best players I've ever seen at this position, telling 3 guys at the same position they are their top priority). Knowing that players break rules and you look the other way or help cover it up b/c it affects your ability to be successful.

quote:

I think this was a HORRIBLE decision by our church leaders. Not on a Msu vs Um but on what he condones. I don't have to list off what happens at Um.
And now he is going to Preach to us!!
No way brother. No way.

Probably going to shop around other churches. This crossed the line.

quote:

If we're talking about Hugh Freeze the man, I wouldn't want him leading me in worship with a message. Not because the pulpit is sacred or even that he's a football coach, but because I don't think Freeze is genuine in his faith

quote:

If he truly said he feared for Richie Browns soul for not going to the school Freeze wanted him to go o then PL should
Have not allowed him to preach there. That's basically using the threat of damnation to HELL Yo manipulate someone into going to the school you want them to .... That happens to directly benefit
You. Come on.

I'm sure also behind the scenes at PL this is a political issue with the OLe MissU members lobbying to get him there on the interest of fairness.... Just guessing.

quote:

I guess he'll walk across the reservoir after the service.

quote:

I personally believe that multi-site churches aren't biblical. - anc

quote:

I do not question Freeze's personal faith. I do question his credibility in preaching to a church on Sunday after he tells our recruits that he fears for their soul if they attend MSU.
