I think I did well. It is a medium-sized defense firm specializing in general civil litigation and insurance defense.
I mean, you never really think you kill them, you know? She did give me an aggressive command to call her before the end of the week, which I took to be "hey, this is yours unless something pops up." Is that fair?

Definitely fair to say you are in play. If you don't follow up you'll definitely won't land it. I'd give it a day or two, make the call and ask for the next interview. Also never hurts to send a hand written thank you note...shows a real touch of class in the world of emails & texts.
