You don't understand

According to the SECR, Saban takes advantage of the "process" and cuts fully capable 4 and 5* scholarship athletes to make room for better 4 and 5* scholarship athletes. He would never stoop to putting a walk-on on scholarship. He's too busy telling the players already on scholarship to take a hike and leaving them on the streets to fend for themselves.

All that could still fit. Kid is basically an undrafted free agent.
