Really shows the difference between successful programs and bottom feeders like A&M and Arkansas.
I don't know if I'd throw Arkansas into this. This has been driven by the Aggies and their belief that they somehow got one over on us because they just hired a 60 year old DC for $1.7 million. I really think it's more a case of negative dissonance on their part, as they are continually trying to convince themselves that this was a good hire.
Notice how they don't make fun of the fact that it took Sumlin HOW LONG to find someone (six weeks or so), and then he simply went to the money people and said "Give me a whole bunch of money so I can hire the guy that coaches the defense of the team I can't beat." That obviously was the extent of his process after NO ONE wanted to work for that piece of shite institution except Chavis, a man willing to screw over his current players to spend time on the phone with a potential new employer ON THE DAY OF HIS PLAYERS' biggest game of the year, literally minutes before the game. I'm sure he'll be loyal to A&M though. Nothing demonstrates a man's character like his actions.

had not taken the DC job..
It is widely accepted among insiders that we haven't offered anyone yet.
Not sure why, though. I wish we made a hard run at Shoop or Pendergast, but we didn't after initial interviews. They are saying Les is keeping this one close to the vest and has candidates people aren't aware of.
Who knows though.
What we do know is you guys are annoyingly obsessed with us. Its getting weird.

No others are capable of predicting/promising the future like an Aggy.

Pete Carroll is 63, I have no problem taking a guy in his late 50's.

All the SEC fans out there just like to look at this situation and come up with their hopes that this we are totally "dysfunctional" at the moment.
When you say "all the SEC fans out there" are you including LSU fans? There are a shitload of posts about this same thing on the LSU board.
A bunch of melts, confusion, WTF is happening, etc... No one said anyone is screwed. Like I said, maybe they have a target but then again maybe it is a full blown mess.

You guys seem obsessed with our obsession. I think that is even more weird.

yes, Negatigers and Miles haters will use this to give them ammo until there is an announcement of the DC. But, that is obviously not the thinking of most rational fans out there.

Okay. Fair enough. Fans are just fans, no one really knows shite.

What an idiot AD for signing your assistants on before your DC!
Alleva is certainly an idiot but if there is a potential DC out there that doesn't want Corey Raymond coaching DBs then screw em. Raymond is one the best DB teachers and recruiters in the country

The internet troll would be an interesting study. 30 years ago, guys who worked low end retail jobs and attended Comic-con conventions had an outlet for their sexual and social ineptitude, they would form clubs of their peers to make fun of the playahs, yuppies or otherwise worldly type of people. These Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars and chess clubs became cesspools of a collective attempt to raise self esteem by finding someone to ridicule while remaining in the relative safety and security of their peer group.
The internet has changed all of that. The social outcasts who dress in furry costumes and attend conventions now have an outlet for their hatred and animosity caused by years of failure, the message board and youtube comments section where they can spew their hatred for life at those whom they know, deep inside, are vastly superior.

Reading this board is inspirational in a twisted sort of way. The underbelly of TD, so to speak.
