Is there a way to categorize these guys as the TAMU Hater Society, or something else to defuse this group as nothing but the All Aggie Haters All The Time Association. There must be a collective group strategy we can construct. I think it's worth exploring.
Actually I have been working on deconstructing them one at a time. Wade was the first experiment (Westcoast started it), and he has taught me that if you push back while giving them respect some of these guys will actually back it off and tone it down. Most are not complete dicks, they just got a taste of that superiority complex when lurking on Shaggy for material. The sad part is they don't know enough to effectively use the talking points they learned, so they will back down when you make them look in a mirror. It is like a baby with a bazooka.
If you try to group label them you embolden them. We tried to label the shite out of goldennugget, and paint him as a bitter TCU fan, with an end result that he has gone even DEEPER into the well with his two gay dad avatar. A label equals validation, and if you treat them as individuals then suddenly they don't feel like they are hunting in a pack.
Sometimes there is nothing you can do. A poster like auburnphan, or CP3, is simply too dumb to be reasoned with. In that case you just point out their obsession and thank them for space in their head.
At least that is my plan. If yall have something better I would love to hear it.

Unfortunately I've been around too long to be an effective troll for long I was never good at it anyways, but nowadays the only way I get bites is when it's a new poster or a Tiger Ranter who strayed over to the SEC Rant
Individual deconstruction, though, is absolutely an effective strategy. A lot of the e-friends I have on here now actually started as posters I regularly butted heads with.
