He lost Daylon Mack while staying loyal to Chavis by remaining silent. I wonder what was going through Chavis' head when Mack opened up the recruitment and listed LSU. I wonder what was going though Sumlin's head when the Aggie melt started on that Trojan Horse of a Black Friday.
Just a couple weeks later, Texas has been blown out by Arky, we beat West Virginia, Chavis is headed to Aggieland, and the swagcopter is back in the air.
It won't happen, but I would love a 30 for 30 on this saga in 10 years. Hell. I'd love one tomorrow.

Sumlin is a loyal bastard.
He never caved to a HS kid who had no real commitment to the team.

If Chavis is the hire, Summy is one cool motherfricker.

“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.” - Sun Tzu
and another for good measure
“Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment — that which they cannot anticipate.”
