I'm a Mizzou grad who grew up in KC and now lives in St. Louis. Recently I've had to spend more time at the stores and malls than I care to but I have to say the presence of Mizzou apparel on everyone from teens to retirees is truly astonishing.

It's everywhere.

Everybody loves a winner, so that probably explains most of it, but I think the Power Tiger design was a game-changer as well. I can't help but think there are a fair number of people who wear it only because it looks cool, and that's fine with me.

This is quite a change from when I was a student during Woody's Wagon. Brown paper bags were the thing while I was there. Sad days indeed.

Thanks Gary. Thanks Mike. Kim, get it going man...

Same thing around KC, seeing a lot of vehicles with MIZZOU license plate holders, hitch covers, window decals, kids in the QT and other stores wearing MIZZOU gear, yard flags. There's also a nice billboard on I 435 with the MIZZOU FB team and huge letters saying "This is SEC Country!"

It's not just Missouri boys. I see it everywhere in the military towns I've lived in and visited. NC, Hawaii, Virginia now.

My license plate is customized to MIZZOU and some lady was hanging out her car yelling at my mom, go Mizzou, the other day when she was driving my truck

That's not what she was yelling and you missed your chance

I grew up in the 80s in Rolla, Missouri. As a kid, there was NO ONE wearing black and gold. It seemed odd that the large state school had such a mediocre following there. The last time I was there a year ago it was a total 180.

I was really happy about that.

Cool. I enjoyed growing up there and make it back maybe once a year or so.
