The only rule that was changed was that schools had to schedule at least one Power 5 opponent. At least one. That means that as far as the SEC office is concerned, Tennessee absolutely could have scheduled Baylor and Oklahoma if they had wanted to. Some blogger on a Baylor website has connections in the SEC office that say otherwise. Right.

This would be the first thing Brian would be wrong about. He isn't Chip Brown or Billy Luicci.

I don't buy any of that.

Why would Tennessee open up the season with back to back games against Oklahoma and Baylor? Tennessee has nothing to gain by playing 2 of the best Big 12 teams, or any 2 Big 12 teams for that matter, before starting play in the hardest conference in the country.

UT has consistently played one of the hardest schedules in the nation and at minimum has had a back to back top 10 rankings in hardest schedules over the last 2 years.

Trying to duck Baylor? I doubt it. UTs schedule is already littered with solid match ups and a very strong SOS. Tell Baylors AD to schedule like they have a set and you won't encounter this problem.

And for the record, I don't believe this article is true or accurate. I don't buy Dave Heart trying to create the toughest schedule in the country during what will be his head coaches most pivotal year in the program -- year 3. If he is, than AD Dave Heart needs to hand over the reigns as far as scheduling is concerned.

This. Baylor brings nothing to the table in terms of scheduling when your schedule is already loaded.

Then it's the first thing. He's full of shite on this one. Like I said...some blogger from Waco with connections...reliable connections...in Birmingham. bullshite.

Um, isn't this the same guy that randomly posted that he had a source in the Bryan PD that Speedy Noil was going to be arrested? It had nothing to do with Baylor in any way and he didn't even need to comment yet he clearly pulled that shite out of his arse.

Brian is not very connected. He doesn't even know much about Baylor much less have connections outside of Baylor. He basically predicts every single player will go to Baylor and is about 50/50 in predictions. The idea that he has a deep source in the SEC is about as comical as anything I've heard.

Anyway, if this is true (which I think is about 0.1% likely) it's because the rumor that K* called Slive during realignment and told him he would sue the SEC and Slive personally is true. I don't believe even Starr is that BSC but if he is, that's about the only logical explanation for this to be true.

I knew this was bullshite as soon as I read it, and I'd never even heard of the guy before. Now we see that some of the aTm posters who know of him concur. This Brian Ethridge character is ranked a whopping 115th on 247 in terms of accurately predicting where recruits are going. Pretty comical if Baylor fans actually pay good money to read this guy's scoops from his "insiders."
