It's kind of like when people complain about the post office and say it needs to be nixed when there legal documents you have to send via certified mail. Especially if you want them admissible in court if need be.

Land lines are still vital to most businesses and there are definitely older people who still have theirs.
I know a LOT of photographers who swear that digital photos are shitty and only use film. There are a lot of good reasons for some of those figures.

Vinyl will never completely be eliminated. Its just sounds so much better and cooler than digital.

They certainly aren't bad, but you get ripped off.

Several of these "technologies" produce superior quality still to their newer alternatives.
1. Kodachrome film still produces extremely high quality images in the hands of skilled photographers with good equipment. Granted, it has become a boutique use.
2. The same could be said for vinyl records. On a top quality LP player, such as a Bang and Oluffson, you get simply great sound. Not to mention the nostalgia of playing a collection of music you collected throughout your life.
3. The Fax machine still has a place. Limited but valuable. Certain legal documents, images and other things need fax still. Also in non English character languages use of fax is still widely used.
4. land lines and corded phones still provide superior sound quality to VOIP and wireless. I have all these available but for international calls for my business, I will use a land line.

How about this for an 80s flashback...My "dream" car when I was starting to drive was a red Fiero.

A cellphone is the Swiss Army knife of electronics. Once the laser pointer app and presentation mode app is developed it will be an all in one devise.

No it is not.
As we sit here today, America does not have manned space flight capability.

Using an operating system like windows 98 seems silly to me but a fax machine is essential in many businesses.

I bought new land line house phones in the last 6 months.
