Whether you think Bama is or has been a good basketball program doesn't matter. It COULD be a very good program with the right coach and support. And I'm not talking about fan support. Despite what the clueless on here say, there are a lot of Bama basketball fans, and a lot of other people who would really like to be if the team wasn't so predictably mediocre every year. Win and the fans will return.

A lot of schools could win with the right coach. Alabama has never attracted a big name basketball coach and they never will unless they are willing to take someone with previous baggage like Auburn did with Pearl
