He kind of eluded to the fact that there have been multiple interviews and believes that the DC will be hired and in place shortly after the bowl game is finished.

I'm ok as long as it's a good hire and the decision leaks. I want a Crimmas present damn it.

Collins may be taking Turner with him...

I'd be pretty pumped if we replaced Collins/Turner with Orgeron/Randy Shannon...

I think the likely move would be to hire Orgeron and make he/Turner co-DC's. But yes, tell him to get the hell on and make O/Shannon co-DC's, that is the ideal situation.

I'm slowly starting to really dislike Collins.

If he takes coaches with him, on top of the fact him playing up all that psycho bullshite and playing a vanilla soft zone, he's going to be on the shite list soon.

Yeah he can take his squirrelly arse right the hell on. Who the frick calls a cup a swag chalice if it isn't a goblet? Or at least a bad arse stein.

We have the talent on the DL and LB that we shouldn't miss a beat, but poaching coaches when you leave is a dick move.

Also, where do you always get this seemingly insider information?

The only way Orgeron is coming here that makes sense is for Turner to move IMO...

Otherwise, we would either be putting a guy that last coached LBs for one year in 94 in D2 -- or putting a guy there that last coached them 15 years ago before the spread really existed. In either case, neither guy having ever actually called a defense, much less called against a spread, before even considering the pitfalls of trying to call it from the DL coaching slot. Do NOT want in that case...

Only way I want Ogre is if it's as DL coach with an option to rise to DC eventually. You can add a bunch of fancy titles to his name to get him paid, but let that be his ultimate on-field role for us.

Then, hire a badass X's and O's DC/LB coach and give him a lot of known autonomy on the defense. That guy being a good recruiter would be a nice bonus but not necessary.

You just seem to be right on a lot of your predictions when nobody else has mentioned them. That's the first I've heard of Turner possibly going with Collins.

I'm just context guessing with that one...could end up being way off...

Just reading into what Collins/McElwain are saying, to go along with us pretty apparently looking at Ogre, and putting two and two together. Going after Ogre doesn't make sense to me unless the DL position is open...

I asked Paul about Turner going with Collins and he said Turner told him he had no interest in going anywhere else

So, according to Robertson, Orgeron is "beyond interested" in the job. Said that he would want to recruit mississippi and go head to head with ole miss as much as possible. Apparently he was calling the defensive plays when he was HC at OM.

Should really fuel the fire of the rivalry too. Let's light this shite candle, I'm sold.

It would be pretty funny...

I'd be wait and see mode on the actual defensive playcalling to say the least though...

I have buddies that talked to Orgeron in New Orleans this weekend and he said he hates Freeze

Don't know what the context of the conversation was but that's what they took from it

Yeah I've heard that too. Seems like his relationship with OM in general just isn't good.

UAB's coach said he would "Listen to MSU" but is not really interested. He was apparently auburns second choice after Muschamp and would've taken that job
