It matters about as much winning an NL West championship mattered to the San Francisco Giants this year. Funny how LSU fans can't grasp that.

12-1 with no conference title is better than 8-4 with a conference title from a coaching standpoint. Bottom line is he took Stanford to their best record since 1935. 12-1 most years gets you in the title game. Remember, in all of Sabans's title games but one his team has had one loss
