Whoa - to clarify, I'm in no way, shape, or form diminishing when Saban has done at Alabama, or saying anyone could do what he has done at Alabama.

What I'm saying is - there are different types of coaches for different types of scenarios. I'd argue Saban's best work as a coach was at LSU, not Alabama - but that's another thread

He's not the type that will win much unless he has more talent than who he plays. The fact he is a great recruiter, at a school that is going to pull it's share of talent, makes up for it. You put him at Arkansas or South Carolina and he wouldn't win their division.
