Difference is that UT, Bama, and LSU have the resources to eventually come back and rebuild to be a championship level program. SC doesn't.
You really haven't been paying attention have you? If only you knew the before and after of what our program looked like before and after Spurrier, the facilities infrastructure has improved 10 fold and is still being built, we have a lot more boosters donating a lot more money, etc etc.

I have this vague sense that Scrooster doesn't like some of the comments made in this thread... could be wrong though!
Spurrier deserves another year. He's a great HC and he has done solid work at SCar. But let us be honest, it is time to start lining up his replacement.
Sneer all you want, and I admit I never much cared for the Hens when we had to play them every year, but South Carolina is a damn good place for a coach to set down roots. The state loves their football. They produce a fairly solid in state crop of players and where they are lets them poach from some very fertile recruiting grounds.
Unless they go full on Derek Dooley SCar should be able to attract a very solid coach in a year or so.
