Gump fans have probably decided to save what money they have and just buy National Championship tickets. Why waste money on a game they know they will already win!!!
thats the thing about this new format. You have to spend a fortune on tickets and travel for the semi final, then if you win turn around and do it all again. A lot of people probably can't afford to do that two weeks in a row so they have to decide if they want to go to the semi or roll the dice and shoot for the finals.

Also makes more sense to go to 2nd game. If you lose the first you never wanted to be there anyway. If you win the first then don't you want to be at the final game in Dallas? So, why even go to the first game (unless you can afford to go to both).

If I were a fan of a team that was in the playoff, there is no way on Earth I would go to the semi-final game. If my team wins in the semis, then attending the NC game is where I want to spend my resources. If my team loses in the semis, that's a game I would not have enjoyed anyway.
