I think guys really are missing the record-setting offense: Both in PPG and Thompson's yardage. Don't get me wrong. Shaw > Thompson but about 100 miles, but it was the defense. Make no mistake about it.

It was the defense. Look at the A&M game. SCAR's defense was so non-existent that it allowed a bad A&M team repeatedly to score so easily that it just blew their minds and shell-shocked the entire SCAR squad.

why did Ward change schemes?

I know yall have probably answered that question ad nausem but I have never seen it explained and I'm too drunk to dig.
